Parenting bliss!

NO, THIS IS NOT CHOCOLATE PUDDING!!!!
We boldly had to go where no one but parents have been before!  Yes, this was the mother of all diaper changes!!!  If you think this looks bad, imagine the smell?!  Jordan came running up the stairs yelling, "I"M GOING TO NEED BACK UP!"  Boy, was he right!  Isn't parenting wonderful!  Odd time to grab the camera, but I will cherish these pictures always!  I will take them out during Parker's teenage years and tell him, "See! This is what your mom and dad have done for you!"
How could he be smiling at a time like this?!!!
And the award for the most courageous diaper change in all of history goes tooooo......Jordan and Amanda!!!!!!!

Ski day!

A day of no work is a day to ski!!  Hooray for Presidents day!  This last monday was one of our few days we have had to enjoy the slopes.  Thank you to grandma for living close so we had someone to watch Parker.  It was the most beautiful day! Tons of snow, the sun was shining, relatively warm, no wind, and not too much of a crowd since we went to Alta were boarders aren't allowed.  It was just about the perfect ski day until we had decided we would just do one more run and halfway down the mountain, Jordan broke his binding!  This happened on a pretty steep slope with tons of moguls, so it was kind of hard for Jordan to ski down the rest of the mountain with just one ski!  Jordan's luck, eh?  Still, any ski day where Jordan doesn't get hurt is a good one! Check out our videos!
Jordan's big air...
Amanda's weak sauce air... Don't Laugh!!

Let it snow!

Ok, so if it is going to snow, I say keep on snowing so we can at least have some fun with it!  A couple of weeks ago when we got that huge snow storm, we decided to spend our family night  making a snow fort!  It was perfect packing snow and there was tons of it!  The only problem was that we didn't get started on it until about 9pm.  We wanted to work on it all night, but Jordan's parents (we built it at their house) wouldn't have been too happy about that.  So we had to end it with a little less than perfect snow cave, but still ended up being the most awesome snow cave ever!! It was about 15 feet deep and maybe 4 feet wide.  Ethan ended up sleeping in it that night!  Crazy, boy!

This was how it started out......

And this was the final product!

Fun in the Pool!

Two weekends ago, we decided to take a trip down to Saint George for some relaxation.  We took my mom with us and visited Aubrey, Wes, and Kylee.  It was a needed vacation!  Golf, no house cleaning, and 50 degree weather!  We took Parker to the pool for his first swimming lesson!  He wasn't quite sure what to think about it.  We probably spent about an hour in the pool and he didn't really smile or whine at all.  So, we think he liked it, he just had to get use to it.

This video is of Parker watching Jordan and Zach throw like 5 balls in the air at a time and he just thought it was hilarious.  He was just giggling and giggling.  Way cute! (Sorry if it makes you get motion sickness! I'm not very good with a camera!)

I just had to add this picture also.  I am a dental hygienist and there is hardly anything I like better than brushing teeth!  Parker just loves it when I brush his teeth. He gets so excited when he even sees his toothbrush. I have trained him well.  We'll have to get him a Sonicare when he gets more teeth!! : -)

Not Even!!

Ross Perot?! Not even!
A couple of weeks ago at McKade's wedding Jordan's uncle, Mark LeBaron, said that Parker looked liked Ross Perot.  I totally disagreed, but when we got home, Jordan downloaded a picture of Ross Perot to compare with Parker and he agreed with him!  I say no similarity at all! What do you think?

...Maybe it's the ears???

Happy 2008

Happy New Year!

The Collins family is ringing in the new year with new goals and Parker as the motivation we need to accomplish those goals! Amanda is going to organize the basement (with hopes that Jordan will be motivated to finish the basement after she is done) Jordan is on Weight Watchers and I have to say he can do anything he puts his mind to because he is doing awesome!  I think Parker's goal is to be the happiest baby that has ever lived.  I think he is going to win that title!  Parker loved Christmas.  He mainly fell in love with all of that shiny ribbon that must have tasted great.  That ribbon wore him out though, because he slept the rest of Christmas morning. Jordan's Christmas was a little more interesting.  The weekend before Christmas, Jordan was playing with nieces and nephews and threw his back out, so he spent the entire Christmas week on his back and on drugs.  He doesn't remember much of that week.  Poor Jordan.  His back is starting to do a little better now after several doctor and chiropractor appointments.

This is Parker Christmas Eve.  He was trying to show off his 2 new teeth!!

Other good news:  Parker is eating rice cereal now and is loving it!  It is his favorite time of day I can't seem to feed him enough!

Christmas is coming!!

OK, before things get too crazy this Christmas season, I thought I would update ya'll on what's up with our fam! The most exciting event this last week was that the Parkster got his first two teeth! I couldn't believe it! He's not even four months old yet! I'm telling you, this boy is ready to eat real food! Whenever we eat in front of him he gets in this daze and just stares at the food while we eat. I feel so bad that we can't give him any yet. Probably, once he hits four months he will definitely be good to go. We also went up to Logan to see Nana and Papa report on their mission. Parker loved Logan as do his parents! Parker had a hard time leaving Nana (he knew she would give him all the food he wanted if his parents weren't looking!)

This was so funny! Last Saturday, I was painting the stairway while Parker was playing in his bouncer. He usually tries to get out of his bouncer by doing sort of a super crunch. I think it is to try and break through the lap belt with his extraordinary strength or something. I don't know. Well, in the middle of his crunch he fell asleep and never did relax. It looked so uncomfortable, yet still adorably cute!

Parker's nursery. Jordan did the trim work on the walls.

Parker already loves using his friend's toys! This was at Ethan Richardson's 1st b-day party.

Family pictures (this is the best one of Parker we had. it was his nap time so he wasn't all smiles!)

Oma and Parker at the Park!

After all the work that Amanda did to get her dental hygiene degree and license, we wanted her to be able to keep it and not let it lapse. She found a dentist that will let her work 4 hours a week from 2:00 - 6:00 on Tuesday's! Oma gladly volunteered to watch Parker from 2:00 to 4:30 until I get home from work. So far every time I've come to pick him up, Oma has taken him to some place for a picture shoot. This time it was the park, and she got some darn cute pictures!

Alright, here are a few more..
